CIBER Success Stories

China Faculty Development in International Business 2005 - University of Colorado at Denver

"This was a very memorable and incredibly worthwhile trip - truly rewarding in learning more about the China economy as a nation (and local and regional economies as well), a variety of businesses across regions, political influences, labor markets and much more. The group of faculty from other CIBER schools was the best group of faculty I've had the opportunity to get to know in such a trip."
Thomas H. Olson, University of Southern California

Background: In January 2005, the University of Colorado at Denver CIBER co-hosted an FDIB trip to China, visiting Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzen, and Hong Kong. In addition to UCDHSC representatives, more than 20 other faculty from notable colleges and business schools throughout the country, including Duke, Bentley, Brigham Young University and Kansas, took park in the twelve day trip. Upon their return, the Business School representatives held three panel discussions for faculty, business and community members to discuss their ventures into the cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzen and Hong Kong.
