CIBER Success Stories

CIBER from Georgia Institute of Technology

"Georgia Tech CIBER made possible a unique 10-day project-driven global practicum for our MBAs in Singapore this past Spring. The MBA students were responsible for working with four Georgia-based firms on a semester long project involving market-based research during their visit to Singapore. The students also gained an in-depth knowledge of Singapore as a logistical platform and the markets of Southeast Asia. Georgia Tech CIBER worked closely with the US Department of Commerce in preparing this student-organized, faculty-supervised trip which included a visit to the Singapore stock exchange as well as afternoon tea with the standing President of Singapore. CIBER incentivized the participants, provided the necessary start-up support, contacts, and funding. Such projects truly add a practical international dimension to MBA training and insure that our MBAs are more effective competitors in today's complex globalized economy. The students really enjoyed and appreciated this unique opportunity as evidenced by the 4.9 / 5.0 overall evaluation score the students assigned the course at the end of the semester."
