CIBER Success Stories

CIBER from Georgia Institute of Technology

"I've had a chance to work closely with the CIBER Center at Georgia Tech and its programs in the past year. In one particular joint program, we worked together with the US Department of Commerce's Washington-based Commercial Law program in matching Atlanta-based women executives with a trade delegation of Moroccan and Tunisian women executives and entrepreneurs during their one-week visit. The GT CIBER's efforts received a Departmental citation and recognition in this regard and our organizing committee worked closely with the CIBER center achieving the goals of this matchmaking visit. Equally important is the joint program with the World Trade Center/Atlanta's International Business Academy with which Georgia Tech CIBER Center is tightly linked in both content and delivery to a dozen or so local executives interested in heightening their knowledge and skills in exporting and other modalities for successfully engaging the international market. As a coordinator of the event, I worked hand in hand with CIBER staff, making fully use of curricular and pedagogical materials offered by the national CIBER programs and of the Georgia Tech CIBER. This was a successful and model partnership that we look forward to replicating in future sessions."
