Export Primers for Business and Agribusiness
August 1, 2005  - University of Florida   [Details]

There is a great deal of information available on the Web to assist businesses in finding export opportunities and developing international business relationships. One of the most comprehensive sources are the Country Commercial Guides (CCGs) published annually by the U.S. Department of Commerce. These guides, which are available to U.S. companies, students and researchers via free registration , provide extensive and detailed information on a range of topics and issues critical to successfully developing export markets. However, the detail in these reports render them extremely long and often difficult to download unless one has access to a high-speed modem. This site provides abridged versions of the CCGs to provide those interested in pursuing export opportunities the ability to overview a given country's market potential through concise documents that are brief and easy to download. These Export Primers also provide information additional to that provided in the CCGs of direct relevance to agribusiness interests as well as links to many key international trade resources. Also includes for each country is a link to its country profile in the CIA 2001 World Factbook
