UF-CIBER to Fund Faculty and Student Research in Africa
January 19 - February 20, 2012 - University of Florida

The CIBER RTA program provides opportunity for students to conduct primary research in Africa. It targets students who have such research interests, but who are not yet sufficiently comfortable with the African environment to devise and implement their own individual study plans. The RTA program invites faculty members to propose specific African research projects that include plans for involving two to three students in data collection abroad for a period of approximately two to four weeks. The faculty involvement, both at the planning and implementation phases, provides the structure and oversight student researchers new to the continent require. Student researchers may be undergraduate and/or graduate students.
