The Wharton School's Lauder Institute, together with the Spanish savings bank Caja Navarra (CAN), pioneer in civic banking, hosted a conference July 29-31, 2009 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania titled, "Recovering from the Crisis: Financial Services, The Real Economy, and Civic Banking." Professor Cliff Rossi from the Smith School of Business participated in the conference.

International Financial Reporting Standards and Fair-Value Accounting &

Sponsored by the Department of Accounting and the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the Fox School of Business at Temple University in collaboration with the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. A full day of training sessions geared towards accounting educators and focused on incorporating IFRS into introductory financial accounting, intermediate accounting I, and intermediate accounting II courses. Faculty Development in International Business - Africa

This program provides participants with an opportunity to experience first-hand the business challenges of sub-Saharan Africa as they travel to Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa; Livingstone and Victoria Falls, Zambia; and Chobe, Botswana, as well as participate in numerous business visits, culture tours, and academic seminars. Academy of Entrepreneurship at Local High School
