The 8th annual FDIB-Africa program, to be conducted in South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique, will once again combine over two dozen business visits, cultural experiences and academic visits and lectures over 13 days, to initiate and/or enhance faculty awareness and insight in the business, academic and cultural world of sub-Saharan Africa. Business and academic visits will include: Wits University Centre of Entrepreneurship; U.S. Consulate, South Africa; Johannesburg Stock Exchange; MTN; Vodacom; Standard Bank; AngloGold; Coca-Cola; SABMiller; MOZAL; U.S. Embassy, Mozambique; and Gone Rural. Cultural visits will include Apartheid Museum; Soweto; Chimp Eden; Catembe Island; Origins Museum; Sterkfontein; Lesedi; Umoja; and a safari game drive in Krueger National Park.
